Every bottle is verified for quality, scent integrity, and packaging consistency before we decant it. We never dilute, alter, or refill our fragrances — what you smell is exactly what's in the original bottle.

How are decants made?

Every decant is hand-poured in our Paris workshop using sterile equipment. We transfer the fragrance directly from the original bottle into high-quality glass spray atomizers, ensuring zero contamination and maximum scent preservation. Each vial is labeled, sealed, and quality-checked before shipping.

How long do decants last?

When stored properly (cool, dark place, away from direct sunlight and heat), a decant maintains its full scent integrity for 2-3 years — the same shelf life as the original bottle. The glass atomizer protects the fragrance from oxidation, just like the original packaging.

What sizes do you offer?

We offer four sizes to suit every need:

• 2ml — Quick discovery (~25-40 sprays)
• 5ml — Test a fragrance over a week (~60-100 sprays)
• 10ml — Travel essential (~120-200 sprays)
• 20ml — Build your wardrobe (~240-400 sprays)

What kind of bottles do you use?

All our decants come in high-quality glass spray atomizers with metal collars and fine-mist pumps. Glass preserves the fragrance better than plastic and prevents any scent alteration. Each bottle is TSA-compliant for travel and refillable should you want to reuse it.

Which size should I order?

If you're trying a new fragrance for the first time, start with 2ml or 5ml. If you already love the scent and want to wear it regularly, 10ml or 20ml offers better value. For travel, 10ml is the sweet spot — enough for 1-2 weeks of daily use, compact enough for carry-on.

Do you ship worldwide?

Yes. We ship worldwide via tracked carriers, with fulfillment partners in France, Germany, the United States, and Canada to minimize transit times. Most orders arrive within 5-10 business days depending on your location.

How long does shipping take?

Processing takes 1-3 business days. Shipping times vary by destination:

• France: 2-4 business days
• EU: 3-7 business days
• North America: 5-10 business days
• Rest of world: 7-15 business days

What are your shipping costs?

Free worldwide shipping on orders over €50. Below that threshold, shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your destination and order weight. We use tracked, insured carriers for every order.

Can I modify or cancel my order?

Yes, as long as your order hasn't shipped yet. Email us at contact@decantsample.com as soon as possible with your order number. Once shipped, you can no longer cancel but our standard return policy applies on arrival.

Can I return a decant if I don't like the scent?

For hygiene and safety reasons, we cannot accept returns on opened or used decants — this is standard practice across the cosmetics and perfume industry. That's exactly why decants exist: to let you test a fragrance affordably before committing to a full bottle. We recommend starting with our 2ml or 5ml sizes to minimize risk.

What if my order arrives damaged or incorrect?

We always stand behind what we ship. You're eligible for a full refund or free replacement if:

• Your decant arrives damaged (broken atomizer, leaking bottle)
• You receive the wrong product
• Your package is lost in transit
• There's a clear quality issue with the fragrance itself

How long do refunds take?
